A-story-a-day
Production House, the publication and communications arm
of PAT'S Schoolhouse, was set up in 1997 with the aim to help
parents impart positive values to their children through literature,
talks and workshops.
A-story-a-day Production House has published four series
of stories which have been written with warmth and passion by Patricia
Koh, a leading Early Childhood Educator with more than 30 years of
experience in the field and Founder-Director of PAT'S Schoolhouse.
Patricia, a mother of three, is known
widely for her love for children and her commitment to giving them
a well-rounded education. She believes fervently in
providing all children with meaningful experiences that not only enhance
their creativity and knowledge but also help them develop a deep
sense of morality and integrity.
A-story-a-day
is a comprehensive range of 20 titles, all of which are age-appropriate
and locally relevant to our families. With simple language and a rhythmic
repetitive style, the books are ideal for parents and teachers who
wish to help emergent readers with their reading and speech skills.
Bright, colourful illustrations of our
social milieu, familiar faces and local pursuits by the well-known
artist, Patrick Yee, depict the many facets of the Singaporean way
of life. They also serve as talking points that make the shared reading
experience all the more exciting and dramatic.
We hope you will share in Patricia's
efforts to reach out to your children and to invest quality time with
your children reading books of quality!
a place where a story a day
lives in your hearts forever
a place where the difference lies
in making the right start.
