Harmony Road

Harmony Road, the top keyboard oriented group music course in the United States uses age appropriate materials in a fun-filled environment to develop children step by step to total musicianship. Founded by writer and composer, Jan Keyser, it is child-centred, cohesive, comprehensive, exciting and proven to be highly effective in developing musical awareness through solfege singing, listening, rhythmic activities, movement, keyboard discovery and playing, creative activities and composing.

Beginning students are introduced to keyboard performance and note-reading in a holistic programme with the aim of helping them discover the world of music through hearing, feeling, moving, singing, creating, sharing, reading and music playing, all achieved through the careful layering of musical skills and concepts.

This exceptional course also gives children ‘inner-hearing’, which makes transposing, improvising and composing easily accessible. The objective is to ensure children can absorb and store musical patterns and concepts not only for enjoyment but also for personal growth in preparation for future musical endeavours.
