High-energy kids aged 4 to 6 just love going to THE CHILDREN’S MUSIC LIBRARY!

It's the fun, interactive and multi-cultural approach that keeps them coming back for more!

Our programme is packed with I.T. and music games to challenge and inspire your child as well as to sustain his interest in learning theory (notation).

Studies show that exposure to diverse styles and types of music is fundamental in a child’s early development. Spiced with songs and dance from around the world, our extensive programme promises music without boundaries.

Our two-year music appreciation programme will not only lay the groundwork for future individual music lessons, but also certainly increase your child’s knowledge about music cultures from around the world! There is just so much to explore!

Solfege, listening skills, rhythm skills, note recognition, music & movement will also be reinforced repeatedly using different approaches. In true PAT’S Schoolhouse style, there will be a myriad of hands-on activities including internet games ( I.T.), music games, creative compositions, dramatic role play and written exercises!

In Module 1, we will cover basic right hand notations and solfege.

We move ahead in Module 2 with time signatures, bars & barlines, rhythm, pitch, tempo and keyboard notations.

Module 3 will take your child on a trip to China to indulge in some Chinese opera & dance, to India to pore over traditional musical instruments & dance, to Japan to participate in a Musical Tea Ceremony, to Spain to dance the flaming hot Flamenco; and to Italy for a shattering Italian operetta & the Tarantella, a folk dance inspired by a spider!

It’s back to basics in Module 4, learning note valuations and the first steps to music improvisation.

The Children's Music Library is now part of the Extended Programme.

In addition, Extended Programme replaces all the enrichment-type activities you have to pay for your K1 or K2 child on weekday afternoons - no more ferrying your child from pre-school to enrichment every day.

For an extra two hours from 1pm-3pm on Mondays-Fridays, the children enjoy each of these lessons once a week

  • FasTracKids
  • The Children’s Music Library
  • English Speech & Drama
  • Chinese Speech & Drama
  • Art, Cookery and Physical Education

Extended Programme is offered to existing Pat's Schoolhouse children as a value-added benefit; please contact your centre's principal for more details.

“I love the way the Music Library exposes Maxine to so much more than plain, boring note learning. She used to attend a mainstream music school but prefers the Music Library because she gets to be with her friends. She enjoys surfing for interesting music websites, experimenting with new instruments and playing music computer challenges. And I also like the fact that the programme runs after school. It is really convenient for busy working parents like us. We don’t have to ferry her from one place to another over the weekend.
