Hilda-Chan Peddell exclaims: "It was wonderful! I really enjoyed it, and I'm surprised to know that I can create some of these shapes using balloons - a real sense of achievement!"
Over two hours, Julia Teo, Director of Schools, made the seemingly impossible task of folding a balloon and twisting it, LOOK easy. At the end of it, she helped everyone DO it... easily. Dogs, Variants of dogs, Mice, Elephants, Giraffes...we had enough to run a multi-coloured rubber zoo at the end of it.
Following the twisting of balloons, the participants were treated to a story-song about a Princess in a high tower, entirely told with balloon props - from a Princess' crown, to a green forest, a wicked witch's wand and a Prince's sword. Kerensa Heywood says, "The story-telling with balloon props was my A-ha! lesson... it was good to see all the things that could be made - balloons are so versatile!"
Many participants enjoyed it so much that they asked for Advanced Ballooning classes to follow. Arlie Stafford says, "I would like more ballooning practice sessions, and story-telling classes! Balloon 201 for me, please!"
