… a place where a story a day lives in your hearts forever…a place where the difference lies in making the right start.
A-Story-A-Day Production House is the publication and communications arm of Pat’s Schoolhouse, set up in 1997 with the aim to help parents impart positive values to their children through literature, talks and workshops.
To date, it has published four series of A-Story-A-Day stories written with warmth and passion by Patricia Koh, Founder-Director of Pat's Schoolhouse and a leading Early Childhood Educator with more than 40 years of experience in the field. Patricia is known for her love for children and her commitment to giving them a well-rounded education. She thus believes fervently in providing them with meaningful experiences that not only enhance their creativity and knowledge but also help them develop a deep sense of morality and integrity.
A-Story-A-Day is a comprehensive range of 20 titles, which are age-appropriate and locally relevant. With simple language and a rhythmic repetitive style, these books are ideal for parents and teachers to help their emergent readers with reading and speaking skills. The books feature bright and colourful pictures of our social milieu, familiar faces and local pursuits, all illustrated by successful Singaporean Illustrator Patrick Yee. Depicting the many facets of the Singaporean way of life, these books also serve as talking points that make the shared reading experience exciting and dramatic.
